I'll stay awake
I will not go to sleep
I will think and think until I go mad
I will laugh and cry and go places
in my head

I can't live in real reality
not while I stay awake
not while I pretend to rest

only for a while
while I stay awake.
Reason for writing:
I have trouble falling asleep and I found that sometimes I fall asleep sooner if I forget about trying to fall asleep. So I daydream while I wait (which after 2 or 3 hours gets irritating), and often write poems. This happens to be one.
