I used to be important, a man so full of pride
Then one day the son of God, came to live inside
The man that you used to know, you will no longer see
I am of no importance, since God has humbled me
I used to be important, a man with something to say
Then I listened to what God said, when I kneeled to pray
He said I did not know you, you've just been playing the game
But now you are a child of mine, that's why your not the same
I used to be important, a man so lost and full of sin
But now I know the peace of God, from my heart within
He said, see here is water, come to Me unafraid
Let My people learn about this decision that you've made
I used to be important, if only in my eyes
I came to church on Sunday, but lived the week in lies
But now that life is over, I no longer play the game
Jesus is my Savior, that's why I'm not the same
