Warm air blows over her bare skin Soothing her with each caress Glistening rays of light Reflect a sparkle in her eyes Serenity consumes the sullen girl She does not reflect on her hurt Or dredge up memories of the past She only takes a moment To pay gratitude to Mother Nature The days for her are long And often full of strife But while she takes comfort In what Nature has given her For a brief moment in time She has her tranquility And her peace of mind
