"Victorian Garden" When the lilacs glistened in the rain Of morning light and eloquence, Your traces brushed across my hand Through portraits streamed in ivory lace And fountained ribbon roses. There, before the open symphony Of cultured, emerald summer In its garden, entwined With ink-drawn consummation; The hours painted breezes white, Through timeless, raging fire, and Passion's tongue of champagne silk, In melting, jewel-like isolation Against brilliantly explosive waves Of love's iridescent composition. ********* E.R.B.Birth sign: Capricorn
