Above the night world the stars sparkle shine Frozen in sight and frozen in time Separate from our world and our pain They have nothing to lose, and so much to gain My world is filled with such hate and such sorrow What makes me think it will be different tomorrow? How do I find my place on this earth, When wherever I go, people judge my self worth? As sit in the dark I begin to cry, But I remind myself of the stars in the sky, They're all in their places, where they belong If they don't like where they hang, is it wrong? Do they have the right to hate where they are? Is it wrong to yearn to be moved afar? But as they are born, in their place they will die, Yet they twinkle with faces that never cry They grace us with light, and never complain, And from this we have wisdom to gain, So I will now shine like the star that's in me, I have a place on this world too, you see. Above the night world the stars all shine, Frozen in sight and frozen in time, Separate from our world and our love, They have so much to teach, though so far above.
