Everlasting, Eternal Love Ami, mama, madre, umi, Mommy, mom; Words associated with the single greatest, Most influential force and power In one's life: The Mother. Yet only one word can Truly encompass and embody what Comprises a maternal mother; A wonderful, impacting word that itself Is often hard to define: Loving. In times of personal triumph, pride And adulation, Look into a mother's eyes, You shall see exultation, A sense of her own accomplishment, Great pride, And above all, Love. In her warm, comforting embrace, Love exudes beyond the love Of others; For the mother has participated In your victories in spirit, Has been there step by step, Ready to join you at the top Or help break your fall. In times of sorrow and pain, Grief and disappointment, A mother feels your pain Like it is her own; Her tears are your tears, Her scars your scars, Her wounds your wounds. She cries when you cry, For a mother has been there Alongside in your struggles, In your battles, Experiencing your emotions, Your ups and downs, All rooting to her Love, Her maternal love. A mother is a mysterious force, Present at all times, Physically, and spiritually, Sensing your pain, your sorrows, Your apprehensions, your sickness, Joining in your happiness, your joy, Your triumphs, Somehow aware of the remedy For any tribulation; physical or Emotional. But what she provides most In our lives, In this world of turbulence, of ups And downs, Of volatility, of joy and pain, Is an effervescent and unconditional love, A love that can survive The most heated of arguments, A love that can survive The greatest of distances, A love that can survive An eternity. Any other love, The love we return to Our mothers, Pales in comparison to the love a Mother, a love that defies All limits And barriers, A love that permeates our lives at all times. The true embodiment of love In this world Is that of a mother to daughter Mother to son, A love that is eternal, A love that is ageless.
