Moonlight

by Christine Mangosing - Scorpio

Naked in the moonlight-
bathed in its etheral glow
my limbs entwined with yours....
My dreams have taken me
far away from this void of lonliness
straight into the ecstasy
of lying in your arms.
Even the obscurity of the night
cannot supress the bittersweet memory
that plays itself unendingly in the corners of my mind
Nor take away the solace that comes
with the sound of your voice still echoing the words
that i for so long, longed to hear.
In my hour of imsomniac sleeplessness
you come to me in spirit,
in a waking dream,
in the moonlight.

Reason for writing:

Written during an intense moment of being haunted
by memories that don't seem to want to go away.
