Blue

by Carl Yench - Taurus

In this memory, I remember the good times, and the bad times.
But now I realise I am all alone.
Alone, like the depths of the dark blue sea.
His face, his body, I see in myself, just as everyone says.
In his eyes I saw the blueness of the sky, I was only a child.
As I grow older, each day at a time, I see him,
living in that memeory.
In me it grows, and I grow into that memory of my father.
Why, I ask myself. Why ?
Each day I think I'm ready.
Then, I realise, I have a long way untill I fil his shoes.
I wish he hadn't been so brave,
Now, he's in a grave.
The eagle that was tattoed on his arm still watches me, untill I fill his shoes, and get it myself.
Friend, foe, but most importantly, Father.
My father, myself, my Family.
A memory that has burned in my mind.
We went fishing, the salty air and the blue sea,
Those were the good times.
Or when we found that gem stone, blue and green, like an oasis in a dream.
My anger builds up when I ask myself, Why ? Why ? Why ?
And, that is why, Blue, will always remind me of
you.
