Daydreams

by Aeryn - Aries

Sometimes during school I go out and fly
I leap off tall buildings and high grown trees
I unfold my wings I soar through the sky
I glide over mountains and deep blue seas
Sometimes from the air I watch people below
Some of them see me and utter weak sounds
I smile at them and wave a nice hello
And laugh at their antics as they faint to the ground
The I role on my bakc and ride through the clouds
Take in a deep breath and inhale sweet air
Nod greetings to the sun, so bright and so proud
The wind whisting sweet melodies to my ear
Sometimes during classes I take to the sky
Stretch out my wings and kiss mortals goodbye

Reason for writing:

This was a school assignment. Specifically, the instructions were to write an original sonnet following the exact rhyming scheme and syllables of one of shakespeare's works. yay. Anyways, this is how it came out. abab cdcd efef gg. Well anyways the rhyming bugs me, but if you read it following iambic pentameter (sp?) it's not so bad.
