Between the memory I possess of your Caressing eyes, and your physical being, An ocean gasps, and it eternal, for I seek to touch the hands I'm barred from seeing. My face alight, to watch the silent stream That dances from your confident domain, The lights before me flicker; my eyes gleam (And into that vast ocean falls the rain.) Yet into you I pour the deepest truth And speak each word just as it comes to me For with You there's no qualm of misspent youth; Through you, unto myself, comes honesty. So even as the ocean fills with time, Let it not flood; to lose your words, a crime.
