I Have Seen

I have seen castles crumble
I've seen fish take the bait
I've seen birds that can't fly
Tasted bitter chocolate
I have seen the sun dry out flowers
I have watched spiders trap flies
I have seen light bulbs burn out
The weaker take the prize

And yet you say I'm too young 
To have the experience needed
To understand the world
