Last night in my thoughts an image of you in shimmering light My tears glistened in reflection brought forth by the ache in my heart and the trembling of my soul. The bitter chill of emptiness thirsting the warmth of your smile In anguish, I close my eyes awaiting the angels of sleep The pain of your absence gone For in my dreams we walk together Just as it should be.
