Unrest

by Julie Wright - Leo

The sound of a heart beating
shallow breathing in the air
everything is fading black
my eyes hold a frozen stare

The world in slow motion
sounding sirens fade away
I know I'll never see tomorrow
because I can't survived today

I've been through many obstacles
asked forgiveness for a sin
I'm making my peace with God
as the eerie silence settles in

My body begins to numb
as my blood rushes out
even as they try to save me
my soul will take another route

So now I stand here watching
as my body rests in peace
until there's justice for my murder
my soul waits to be unleashed

Reason for writing:

And eerie Halloween poem for all. I wrote it through
the eyes of a ghost. It was originally titled "Unrhue"
meaning "unrest" in German but I think it confused ppl so I changed it. Feedback is greatly appreciated!!
