Is Truth So Free?

by Andrew Michael Ford - Aquarius

twisting, fading ever inward.
swallow freely, feeling queasy.
take it on, a load so full.
kill it son, that painful dagger.
will i, won't i know the answer?
and if revealed, for what the reason?
i find myself, an empty maze.

carry on my son, so proud.
make a difference, with your tongue.
liar, liar, flaming fire.
burn me now and ever after.
a cool unending breeze, i need.
come peace, i need to please my soul.
a hiding place, a final home.

lastly body, heart defined.
mind adrift sad melodies.
echo deep, and wide, and free.
sing to me a song of life.
the struggle ends and starts anew.
with birth each day like drops of rain.
and i feel numb with liberty.

is truth so free?
