Just Another Day as a Teen

by Karen - Leo

Looking around for a clue not ever knowing what to do.

Yelling, laughing, mocking too, so what if I'm younger than you.

So many people that don't understand I'm beginning to think that no one can.

Reach out for a helping hand.

Make a right choice yet it's wrong be weak to fit in don't ever be strong.

Who am I? I need to know, why do they think that I have a halo.

Parents ruin all my plans.

Friends are there for a break, laughing, eating, making memories.

Just when it's going great, some guy breaks your luck he tears a friend or even you, leaving you with some glue, holding your heart broken in two.

Forever learning more and more every time your heart is tore.

Teachers expect this and that, we're only kids, but they forget that.

Sports become more than a game it's more for fame then just the game.

All your time is consumed and the pressure over shadows you.

You look and pray for a break but taking one would be a mistake.

Work so hard to be so great.

Parents listen but can't relate.

Then with all that add how you're judged have to be so pretty and thin the crap within is growing thin.

Through pain and stress we become so tough, not letting any eyes see through.

We hid and scream, smile and gleam.

We've come to be known as just a teen
