Cloud Dancing

by Kristina Harris - Aries

Crystal clear moonbeams float..
into the vaccum that is my heart.
They write sparkling patterns inside
its dusty chamber,
and tiptoe around the lifeless vavles,
like kittens on a field of fresh, milky snow.
I close my eyes, and enjoy the feeling..
radiating through my body.
I shiver as the clouds touch my skin.
Cottony and fresh,
They smell like a new bar of soap.
They are cleansing..ridding my body...
of the ugliness of this world.
I swim through open sky, bumping...
into stars... they are so bright.
I squint in their radiance, and smile
at their beauty.
My lips quiver as I make my descent.
Through the black sky,
until I reach the spongy earth below.
I soon realize it is over.
My heavy eyelids close, and I dream...
of cloud dancing and moonbeams,
and touching the moon.. and saying hello...
to the lucky man who sits in beauty each night
among the clouds, far from the world below.
