Island of memories Oh to sail upon the boat, Across the Irish Sea. To visit the mystical Isle of Man, That means so much to me. The beaches as a child, The steam train with my wife, The wonderful views to the Calf of Man, As I sit and ponder life. To stand in awe on Snaefell top To climb the Laxey Wheel To visit the beach at the point of Ayre And view the castle at Peel The Island is a sanctuary Away from life’s cruel world Where everyone has got the time To sort out problems that unfurl The people are amazing. No one’s in a rush. Everyone’s got time to talk, Even drivers on the bus. The pace of life is just for me. That’s really where it’s at. If ever I won the lottery, That’s where I’d lay my hat.Birth sign: Taurus
