There are many kinds of treasures. We often look for wealth, But when we find it, Happiness does not come. However, there is another treasure, That when taken care of, Is the most beautiful treasure of all. The treasure does have outward beauty. Which is always in the eyes of the one who loves it. But what is beyond the outward appearance, Is the little known, but important, inward beauty. Jewels are rare in this world. To find them together is quite scarce. Rubies are courage. Beautiful treasures often have few rubies, Useful when a time comes that courage is needed. Within the treasure are sapphires. This jewel contains loyalty, To the One who created them. The treasure also contains emeralds. A green jewel that is as natural, As much as nature itself. Finally, diamonds, The hardest substance on Earth, One whose qualities will last forever. Beautiful treasures will often have a crown. Crowns are worn by queens, Who normally allow their intelligence to shine. Silver is a precious metal. When there is no blemish, It reflects the light of all those around. Gold is the most precious and valuable of all. It has the power from the heart to brighten someone's day, With generosity, kindness, and loving affection. Too many treasures have been taken for granted. The gold has been spent, Tarnish covers the silver, And the jewels have been chipped and broke. If a man is lucky enough to find this treasure, He must not take it for granted. He must take care of it, And give it special attention. The treasure must be polished with affection, Caressed with love, Placed above him for all to see, And give back as much gold, if not more, Than the treasure has given him. If he does this, The treasure will give him happiness, And she will be filled with joy and pleasure, Which what this treasure deserves.
Reason for writing:
I see many good women out there who are treated badly by
their men. I just want these women to know that they are
too good for treatment like that, and men to realize just
what kind of treasure they really have.
