Memories of you go through my mind. But your heart I can no longer find. A space in my heart I held for you. Hoping one day you will pull through. Slowly you slipped away. Faded more with every day. I gave my heart & soul to you. A love so strong & so true. My heart it broke when you said good-bye. And you said I’m sorry when I started to cry. A lifetime of love thrown away. But it will be here if you decide to stay. A world of misery I have around me. But a heart so strong that you can't see. One day I pray I’ll have no fear. And strip away the pain & tears. One day I’ll find the right one for me. Then my heart & soul will be free. But for now I’ll push & strive to get over you. It will take some time but I’ll make it through. My life will go on & dreams will come true. And inside I’ll know I did it without you.
Reason for writing:
i had seen my friend go through a bad relationship and she gave me the inspiration to write this so this is for Kim well i just have gone though a bad break up and i lost the one thing in life i loved so i guess this poem has become more personal to me :)
