Burrowed Being

by Chris C - Taurus

Living as boredom’s prey
From me it feasts away
Age mopes into another hour
Weariness torture and devour

Pour the emptiness from my soul
Everyday for living I pay this toll
A fountain of life dwells within me
Pouring out cries satiated in misery

Settled in my cold corner of nil
My mind torments me still
Garroted by weariness
Curious to why life is this

Will you ever release the likes of I
Shall you leave me bare when I die
Permit me some sanity within my being
Will you ever subside upon my seething

Reason for writing:

    Life & loneliness.
