Lonesome Life

by Chris C - Taurus

Banshees screaming in my face
Life rotting senseless in my place
Dragged away by a demonic mage
Happiness fastened inside a cage

Tufted in the blackest of holes
Outside the bars it cajoles
Peering down with a sinister grin
Joy perishing meager without whim

Lying underneath scattered downs
Dreaming of ups through all the frowns
Reaching for hope through blind eyes
Rummaging answers through surmise

Laugh at me in my decay
Snicker as I fade away
Shove me deeper into the shadows
Bury me beneath your echoing bellows

Reason for writing:

    Life & loneliness.
