I look in your eyes a deep rooted pain eyes that've seen death and know of it's pain. Your silent cry echoes through that dark abyss, your soul darkness surrounds you your hearts in a hole. You walk around blind during nights never ending your heart, never bending. I see your soul drowned in despair I know your heart softness still there the tears you still cry prove that it's there. If you would only believe there's still a way out from the depression you feel and your life filled with doubt. The image you hide behind is making you weak it's someone who loves you your heart they still seek. There's one who still cares though everyone's gone your heart one day, I pray, will be strong. The drugs you hide behind to try to forget the pain in your life the past, regrets. There's someone who cares though you believe your alone the love you run from could lead you back home.
Reason for writing:
I wrote this poem one day in class after my boyfriend (who I still love) broke up with me because I am a christian. He has past hurts that made him bitter against God....I just pray one day he'll realize that the one he's running from is the only one that can heal those hurts.
