Raped. Pushing back nauseating visions of the stranger… Ignoring the sick gnawing ache of the stomach… Now commonplace, part of every waking moment… Sweat covered face… Hands shaking visibly and the sobs within coming in waves… A little voice crying and wailing in vivid pleas… “Someone help, “Someone please hear” “Someone please come”… These moments come and pass… Brief snippets of a fateful night…. Memoirs of horror, flashes of hell… No life conceivable after such deprivation of respect of self… No peace, no quiet, no safe nights… An existence plagued with fear and riddled with angst … Optimists declare that time shall heal that which ails… Realists counter that life shall be tainted but shall move on… Victims only know they died at that moment and are no more…
