Where are they now? Scattered from China by clans And many of my brothers, sisters, fathers, and mothers Followed the Mekong River And many lives were lost and killed along the bank of the river Because of the unsettled nature of humanity Many fathers and sons went to war Leaving families hidden in caves and rice fields And battled through bloody crisis in the high mountains And low villages of Laos Many wives and children cried and HAIS KWV TXHIAJ From the rice fields all the way to the high mountains: When will our fathers and brothers and sisters return home? And today, The New Year has returned our fathers and brothers and sisters To celebrate our past, our presents, and our future - Look among you, We are a beautiful culture full of different colors - The girls dressed in beautiful Hmong clothes To attract handsome man of their dreams - And to share the love between the two Is to toss the ball hand to hand - And today, Let our traditions continue to celebrate a New Year That has brought our ancestors And our brothers and sisters and our parents back together - And let us join hands together to strengthen our Hmong hearts And let our choices and decisions shine our future of tomorrow's New Year To a better Hmong Community in the USA-Birth sign: Scorpio
