I Stand Alone As I look ahead, on this road of darkness, I know that I stand alone. Nothing to guide me but the mark on my hand. The mark that will brighten my path, With a light that brightens the evils of the dark, Of the path that is to come. I have seen few others that have chosen this path, But take the easy way out, For there are a number of shortcuts, In which I will not follow. I promise to take the long way out, Where there are greater rewards. The only weapon I have against evil, Is the fire within my heart. A fire that will burn the temptations of sin, In which I will have no part. The mark, and fire that are contained in myself Will be used through out this journey, Because as I look down this road of darkness, I know that I must face it alone. X Eric Sheridan X
Reason for writing:
its a poem about being straight edge...somthing i am very proud of....straight edge is symbolized by an "X" it means i exclude the use of all drugs in my life, in order to live my life to the most fulfillment.
