Past Forever

by Tabitha-Amber Blackwood - Aquarius

I can still feel you
slipping the ring
on my finger.

In my heart
the memory lingers.

One moment forever
suspended in time.
You pledging your
heart to mine.

So many years ago
It feels like
just yesterday...
You asked if I was
going your way.
I smiled and softly
replied "yes".

The years have slipped
quitely away.
Our love has seen us
through lifes troubles.

As I look in your eyes
I'm reminded of how we
came to be what we are today.

When we said forever
it seemed like a long time.
Now it doesn't seem to be
long enough.

Ours is a lasting love
and will endure
past forever.

Reason for writing:

A dear friend and I wrote this during the summer of 98 just for fun.
