by Shelley, Justin - Gemini

Fire Fire burning bright,
Languidly in the pale moonlight,
Its tongue to lick the placid sky
And beauty searing to the eye,
Burning rhythm with Fleeting face
Provoking an eternal chase.
The ashes of its life spread vast
Conquering all within its past.
Growing old its final course set,
He knows his final place and yet,
Consuming hope and all to cherish
He hides from destiny afraid to perish
Grasping air he slowly flies
Fearing his impending demise.
Then father sun and mother earth,
Watching their child with joyous mirth,
Stretch out their hands unto their son,
And draw him in, becoming one.
