Forgive me Lord, for wasting so much of my time
Neglecting Your will and thinking only of mine
So many days wasted, of the time You have given to me
But Your peoples prayers, have made this blind man see
So many days of heartache, so many days I grieved
Until the day You humbled me, and Your gift I did receive
There is comfort in Your promises as You lead me by the hand
Showing me great and mighty things, with wisdom to understand
You have washed away my burdens and taken away all doubt
Humbled in Your presence, my soul just wants to shout
You are the only answer, there were others I tried to find
They only gave me heartache, but the cross gives peace of mind
Forgive me Lord, for wasting so much of my time
Neglecting Your will and thinking only of mine
So many years I fought You, and turned the other way
Yet You took my hand and cleansed my heart, and washed it all away
