Connection of Pain

by Bram Hall - Leo

A woman sits upon her room thinking of her life
She knows it will all end soon, but she doesn't know when
The razor touches her pale whit skin, blood pours from her wound
Tears fall into her gouge, the pain strikes yet again
She falls into a deadly sleep, but she soon awakes
Her life is saved yet again, and she could care less anyway

We live in our lives
We dwell in our own existence
Never knowing why
The Connection of Pain
Can never divide

Reason for writing:

This poem is about a friend of mine who tried to kill herself.
It was written to tell her story and to hopefully make others
realize that pain is something that people cannot and should
not ignore.
