CLOWN You've got starrs in your eyes And cherry red lips The frozen tear on your cheek That never shifts Your lot in life Is to make children happy But what of you No plans to marry? You've traveled Seen the smiles of children The innocent beam They love you Adore you Then forget what they've seen And me? what do I think? I have a confession I feel I must speak You scared me Dared me to open that door To the dark room that haunts me With curtians of green It must sour your heart Because when all you want is a laugh I could only scream And chase the shiver from my spine Your tear is for me The frightened lost child When you came to help me I lost my mind You are still a symbol And I wish it was laughter but fear and mistrust Is what I'll hold Forever after
