Down In a Valley

by slm - Libra

I lived down in a valley, I lived there for many years
Surrounded by my heartache, and drowning in my tears
I knew the words to music, but in my heart there was no song
It seemed no matter what I did, it always came out wrong

I lived down in a valley, till some people prayed for me
I was given new direction and have learned to bend my knee
Now I live upon a mountain, overlooking the valley below
Surrounded by His love and the greatest peace a man can know

This life my friend is not easy, for we all visit the valley of fears
Are you alone along your journey or have someone to wipe the tears
Your tears don't go unnoticed, or the pain you try to hide
You can overcome this valley, when in His will you abide

I lived down in a valley, I lived there for many years
Surrounded by my heartache, and drowning in my tears
Now I live upon a mountain, looking to the heavens above
Hiding from the valley, surrounded by His love

                         SLM
