Memories of a life never lived

by MDM Matthew - Libra

An unshed tear falls
and glistens in the darkened sun.
Just like the life you left me...
Whole but incomplete.
As for the one who holds you-
I am all but jealous,
for I know deep inside
I do love you still.
My erected facade
cannot last forever...
And so does my pain
of loving you not once,
but twice- though we have no
rings that speak of the hurt and shame.
The shame that never was,
for we never had been.
Yet in my heart
I beg and I plead
for you to be the light
of my now darkened release...
