Friends forever,
that's what you said,

You said you would always be there,
through thick an dthin,
light or dark.
You told me no matter what,
don't give up,
life only gets better.
Yet you are gone,
gone far away,
to a place I will never see you.
You promised you would be here,
friends forever,

Yet you put the gun to your head,
pulled the trigger,
and ended what only got better.
Is this waht you meant by stay strong,
life only gets better?
Take the easy way out!

Reason for writing:
Two and a half years ago my best friend shot himself at bootcamp. For a long time I was in denial and couldn't believe he would do something like this. All I could think about was everything he had ever told me. He was an inspiration to me, I just wish he was here to see me graduate, or even get married. I miss him dearly and pray everyday that his teachings will always remain true. I love you Jeremy!
