Long Ago By RICHARD MAXFIELD 12-2-99 Long ago, in a faraway land When man lived, by his on hand life was simple, not such a rush forest were thick, meadows were lush the sky was clear, no smog to be found rivers ran clean, no pollution to be around clouds float, on moonless nights shimmering stares, shine forever bright animals stood proud, with their young at there side a few for food, or maybe a hide mountains stood tall, against a clear blue sky where birds soured free, ever so high ocean waves crashed, on sparkling shores fish swam free, by the scores great whales leaped, and basked all day while dolphins chattered and played busy bees, each flower they made gentle breeze, under the shade song birds sing, their song so sweet harmony and nature, lay at our feet now we have traffic, and rush to our job drugs alcohol, steal and rob smog clouds out, the sun by day no peace, nothing more to sayBirth sign: Gemini
