Where is Me

by Paul Taylor - Virgo

Oh, my unheraled friends,
dank with moral depravity
or intellectual bleakness.
Where are my people?---
Have they hidden behind bottles?,
a noble profession,
or have they gone away---
with hope of partner in thought
vanquished long ago.
My internal examination of arrogance
does not allow me to answer.
Who am I to speak?
(As if I had puppeted the answers)

Reason for writing:

    Self-doubt, poor selection of friends
