Nature Wonders

by Ahri - Aquarius

The land lays outstretched before itself
While the river flows between it.
The wind runs around through the trees
Caressing each leaf of life lit.
The clouds drift up above
Casting shadows on the hills.
The sun plays hide and seek
With the mountains and daffodils
         But crows are beautiful too
         And even eagles cry
The moon comes with its face shown
To the raccoon and the owl.
A wolf howls to show its pride
For all the beasts and the fowl.
A moonbeam bounces off the lake
Painting a picture of a swan.
While the fish enjoy their peace
A doe lies down with her fawn.
         But crows are beautiful too
         And even eagles cry
The frogs amuse themselves by croaking
And the crickets conduct their symphony.
While the fireflies put on a light show
For the rabbits and all their company.
In the morning the crow awakes to see
How lovely things are compared to he.
And somewhere in the top of a tree
Sits an eagle as still as he can be.
But the crow is beautiful too
And yes, the eagle is crying.

Reason for writing:

I started out with the refrain..and went from there. These things just come to me sometimes.
