Sometimes I'm not so thankful and my mind seems somewhere else I don't always care for others and think only of myself So many seasons passed, that I disliked this time of year But for the first time in my life, the true meaning is very clear Reflecting back to all the seasons, I've enjoyed in my past The opening of all the presents, that never seemed to last It's not about being merry or how much a man is worth Nor the giving and receiving of presents, it's all about a birth He was laid upon a manger, long ago one December day Wise men still seek Him, but many have been lost along the way He separated all time on that glorious Christmas morn And on the day He died, the temple curtain, it was torn Sometimes I'm not so thankful, but this year that has changed My future now is certain and my priorities rearranged It's not about the money and all the gifts you may receive To experience the meaning of Christmas, you must first believe SLM
Reason for writing:
