"BLIND"

by thad cornwell - Virgo

I set anxiously at the piano
and played a harmonious cord.
But the audience stares calmly
as if they're tired and bored.

I know that this cord is beautiful
but their image fills me with fear.
It finally dawned upon me
that my audience couldn't hear.

I picked a wonderful rose
for the lady next to me.
Her eyes filled with confusion
as if she didn't want to see.

Many different thoughts popped into my head
and raced around in my mind.
But all confusion came to a halt
when i reized that this lady was blind.

You are the audience and lady
that couldn't hear nor see.
And it's hard to swallow the fact
that we weren't meant to be
