I have one simple wish For you on this day, That I could look in your eyes You wouldn't be so far away. You mean the world to me I could never let go Of that sweet, loving smile That I used to know. And as days go by It is all I wish to see. It's that place in the sun Where I long to be. With you by my side I could face anything. Everything that you did Made my heart want to sing. All you knew, all you'd say, All you'd pretend to be, I hold dear in my heart. You must've been blind not to see How my heart skipped a beat Every time you were near. We had good times and bad Through that ongoing year. I wish you could know Of the pain I go through, As I go on living each day Without you. My love for you will always be true. For every day is only for you.
Reason for writing:
I had a boyfriend, whom I loved dearly, die a couple weeks before I wrote this poem. It helped me get my feelings out and I missed him dearly and still do. I'd like to share it with all of you toexpress my feeling to everyone. Thank you for reading my poem.
