Keep your head high,
and don't look down,
no where else to go,
your already on the ground,
don't feel sad,
I don't want tears in your eyes,
I know it ain't easy,
but baby don't you cry.
I don't want to feel it,
and I don't want to see your pain,
I don't want to see you shivering,
out there in the rain,
walking down the streets,
through a violent street gang.
Keep your head high,
baby don't you cry,
I don't want your soul to shrivel up and die,
I know that times have made you feel stressed,
but baby don't let yourself fall, into distress,
don't worry about the bullet, piercing through your chest.
Baby don't you cry,
God will see you through
don't you know that heaven,
is good enough for you?
Baby don't you cry, it's cold outside,
I don't want to see your tears frozen in your eye,
baby don't be sad,
baby don't be stressed,
your gonna prevail,
because you are blessed.
Baby don't you cry, it will get better,
your gonna survive ,
this stormy weather,
I know your pain,
I see your plight, so we're gonna have to
stand up and fight., honey it's gonna be all right.
Baby don't you cry, baby don't you cry,
baby don't you cry...
