Fear of a Flesh Eating Disease

by someone who thinks too much - Aquarius

Since I can't find the nail clippers
the dirt and microscopic bugs
have gathered under my nails
I am afraid to scratch my face
in fear of infecting my skin
with a flesh eating disease
The soap cannot reach of course
and so everything I touch I think of the bacteria
that will crawl under my nails
I would bite them off
but that would defy my whole point
of needing the nail clippers.

Reason for writing:

a situation that if using symbolism, you can see how it can relate to someones life, in this case, mine.
