WHEN ANGELS SCREAM!!! [responses?]

by Erica Hughes - Libra

He crept out the darkness,
on a cold, snowy night,
I didn't see him coming,
or hear the flick of his knife.
the very last moment,
of my oblivious life. . .

Why oh,why
must you leave me dead?
laying in the snow,
white turned blood red.
with a stab in the gut,
and a bullet in my head. . .

I know the ghetto creed,
ain't about greed,
it's about a man with no job,
and a family to feed,
but don't take my life,
I'll give what you need.

The angels can't save you,
where God doesn't dwell,
where poverty and suffering,
is man's living hell.
The man, and the devil,
work as a team,
and angels can do nothing,
but look in horror and scream.

I can't breathe in the dark,
with blood in my eye,
who protects the innocent,
where do they go when they die?

Pain and suffering,
and happiness a dream,
the man and the devil work as a
team,
WHile I die in horror,
the angels just scream.

I lay in gutter,
like a piece of meat,
inside an outline of chalk,
beneath a dirty black sheet. . .
