The Race of Killers

by Kai - Aquarius

This human race
   disgusts me

We kill everything
Why are we so obsessed with destruction
or do we do it blindly?

No.
We see the tree as we run it over,
we see the blood as we probe and poke our pets,
  our planet's pets.
For sure we see the insides of our very own race
as we gut them just for fun.
When we shoot them in close range.
Our heads are filled with air,
filled with selfishness, and low morals.

Killer of the mind.
 Do your drugs.
Be stupid so you can have your fun.
Manipulate, it's my fault.
Teach me to screw my head on backwards,
so I can do the same to others.

Suicide.
We kill ourselves.

Me - I do none of these.
But I kill my own mind.
With no drugs taken I am twisted. hurt.

I see this. I isolate my poor mind
so I wll not go insane - I almost did once.
I almost did.

But constantly, I know it's there.
It's here, in the back of my mind.
Like a knife in the brain,
 it's killing me.

Reason for writing:

A pesimistic veiw of a certain aspect of life and the world. Comments appreciated, I can easily see how some sentences in this poem can be taken in a different or wrong way -ask me about it if you feel like it.
