I wish that I could hold your hand But you're off in some far 'way land Someday we'll be together again Only that will ease my pain The distance between us shall be overcome But I can wait, unlike some And when that fateful day arrives I shall see the love for which I strive There's much to be said for a love like ours So until we're together I'm counting the hours The days, the weeks, the years and on It's already been forever since you've been gone I'll praise you forever until the end So please take this tribute now that I send For upon its fair wings I send you my heart Hoping once we're together we're never apart
