No one but you knows more about me No one but you has had my body No one but you has seen my great love and no one but me knows what I gave up No one but you could've been the one No one but you a Persian born son No one but you could my lover be but who knows my pain? No one but me No one but you could pull me away No one but you could lead me astray No one but you could take my heart's place and make me so turn from my God's own grace No one but you could make my heart vary No one but you whom I wished to marry No one but you in lonliness' greed could make my heart feel both chained and yet freed
Reason for writing:
I wrote this poem after sleeping with a man for the first time. He is from Tehran, Iran and he made me believe that he loved me. Then he left me alone and I felt so confused. I feel that I still love him with all my heart, even if he does not love me like I wish he would. I am only seventeen years old, but I have an entire book of poems and I want to one day publish them all and become a world famous poet.
