Village Road

by Sudheesh Nair - Cancer

The Clay road was a beauty to watch,
the one, which cuts my village right across the heart..
The one, which connects both skyilines in a note
Its colour was always red, yes that of mud.

From the time I learned to walk, I
travel through this road, All alone,
Talking to my shadows and following
My own foot prints even singing a tune or two.

I know this life, colorless, and I will
Never bother to know what sues this damp sameness

Then one soul came, Walked with me,
The girl with my own pace, she also had
the same rythem in her exhale and she shared
the beats of my own heart.

I now know that life does have colours, That of
love, that of care and that of joy.

One morning, The sky turned dark, and
I saw me lone continuing my trip..
Was she a dream cause realness never
treated me so nice, never in this life.

I searched for some sign, to prove me wrong,
That I wasn't dreaming...
All I could gather was a fading picture of a
Pink cute bird flying towards north, Its wings so high!

I tried talking to my Shadows, Alas, they spoke
A new language, Which I couldn't grip,
I tried singing a tune, not realizing
That I lost my rythm along the way..

I raked the never ending road, lying long,
ridiculing at me with a stooping jest.
I re-stared my journey, through that road,
Which has the color of red, yes that of blood.

Reason for writing:

As Usual, The Most wonderful person I have ever met!!
