STAR LIGHT, LOVE TONIGHT

by Erica Hughes - Libra

The stars twinkled over the still river,
as the light breeze swept my hair gently across my face,
I awaited the sound of your footsteps to trample the grass and the weeds,
I listened to the swaying of the trees,
the fire crackled and roared,
the blood in my veins boiled,
chill bumps raced along my skin,
waiting for your sweet lips to warm them again.
star light, love is in the air tonight,
waiting for you to hold me tight,
on this summer night,
I'll see the twinkle in your eye,
then we both will fall,
like stars fall from the sky.
