The snow came down at a steady pace As it continued to accumulate on everything. All the cars were topped with white Unmoved in their spaces. The roads remained covered and unused. The once multi-colored rooftops Now all looked the same. All the trees were slightly frosted And the pine created a Christmas-like atmosphere. The ground was purely white Unblemished from any soil or dirt. I just sat back by my window Appreciating what rare beauty That God has given us this day. But in the midst of the snow I adore, A feeling of absence came over. What would make this morning perfect Is sharing this beauty with someone I love. There is one that is within my heart, Someone who is so radiant She would melt the snow around her. The white crystal flakes glistening under the sun Makes everything sparkle with purity. But it pales in comparison to her loving smile. I treasure her beauty even more Than this rare, calming day. I dream of sitting with her As the snow floats down from above And share this elegant beauty that God has bestowed With only one thing in mind… To make her smile. How I would love to have my arm around her As her head leans on my shoulder Keeping her warm as the wind blows Admiring both the beauty of the snow As well as the beauty of her heart. Perhaps watching some flakes Land on her adorable nose And smiling as she shivers with a slight chill. I envision her frolicking in the snow Having a snowball fight that may be cold to the skin But warms my heart That melts the snow around me. She must be a natural at making snow angels For she is an angel on Earth. While sitting in my chair watching the snowfall, A poetic metaphor came to mind: The snow holds many qualities to be desired, Just the physical beauty by everyone is admired. She floats down at a calming pace Feeling cold tingles when touching my face. For just a slight breeze is the only sound, She makes everything pure when covering the ground. Even the snow can be taken for granted in some way. Plows can make room by pushing her away. The salt of distaste makes her gracefulness melt, And her elegance is trampled by men who are not heart felt. The purity of the snow should be embraced within, And her artistry will be remembered time and time again. Since this rare, precious beauty is difficult to find, It is to her I would want my heart to bind. A snowfall may be scarce, But her beauty is more precious Than this wintry day. As the sun shines down on the snow, It sparkles and glistens of many colors. But when she smiles, Her angelic eyes sparkle with happiness. God has brought us this beautiful day And we appreciate the artistry it holds. God also gave us this gorgeous woman And we must appreciate the beauty she has within For I don't want her elegance to melt away. The snow may fade as quickly as it falls, But her beauty will sparkle through her smiling eyes And will forever have a special place in my heart.Birth sign: Scorpio
