NEVER BORN

by Erica Hughes - Libra

I was never,
inside of any woman's womb,
I must have been born,
from some cold tomb,
my heart evaporated,
like a snow flake in June,
as soon as I was old enough,
to watch cartoons.
Wondering why,
I had no mother,
why I never seen,
my baby brother,
now my heart is filled with hate,
because of a system, I could not escape.
Watching my unadopted siblings,
receive their gifts,
playing without sharing,
without feeling any guilt,
wishing my that my life, could be rebuilt.

No one ever cared about the mother,
I could not mourn,
it is like I ,
 was never born.
