Oh!  What is grief
that we cannot bear it?
It's a mere emotion
that in time will pass.
It's only a wound
so, we need not fear it,
for only the scar 
will remain at last !

Reason for writing:

    We have all been hurt--some of us, obviously more than others......but, we do re-cover...we get over it, at least to some degree....just like if we cut ourselves really bad...it hurts, heals, and leaves a scar....forever.....
